 What can I expect?The first office visit generally lasts 1.5 to 2 hours. A thorough intake and history are performed, along with any physical exam that may be pertinent. Dr. Lucius spends a great deal of time with each patient getting to know him or her as an individual. If you are interested in particular types of treatment (for example, acupuncture), this can also be incorporated into the first appointment. If you are currently taking supplements and/or medication, we recommend you bring these items with you to your first visit. In addition, if you have any medical or laboratory records you wish to have added to your file, you may want to bring them along that day. Please bring completed new patient paperwork to the visit. Forms can be downloaded here. If you have not completed forms prior to your visit, plan to arrive 20 minutes early to complete your paperwork. Follow up visits tend to last 30 to 45 minutes. The number of follow-ups required and the overall length of treatment varies from person to person depending on individual health goals. |
